The J.E. Made Great White Shark Gen IV is the fourth generation of our original shark-inspired EDC pry bar — designed for people who appreciate distinctive design, serious craftsmanship, and a compact tool made for everyday carry.

The idea behind the Great White Shark has always been simple:

What if we could turn the shape, character, and strength of a Great White Shark into an EDC tool?

We didn’t begin by copying an existing pry bar or modifying someone else’s design. The Great White Shark was developed as an original J.E. Made concept, and over four generations, that concept has continued to evolve.

Generation I was almost like a baby shark — thin, simple, and experimental.

Generation II began to establish the recognizable shark profile.

Generation III became more mature, functional, and refined.

And now comes Generation IV.

The shark has grown.

It is larger, stronger, more substantial, and more detailed. Even the distinctive “teeth” have become part of its character.

This is the most fully developed Great White Shark we have created to date.

Built from PD613 Steel

The Great White Shark Gen IV is manufactured from PD613 steel and receives J.E. Made’s carefully controlled heat-treatment process to achieve the balance of strength, toughness, wear resistance, and durability required from a hardworking EDC tool.

For us, material selection is only the beginning.

Steel does not perform by name alone. Heat treatment matters.
